If your CCW permit is lost or stolen, the correct course of action is to notify the issuing authority within 48 hours. This is important in order to prevent any potential misuse of your permit by someone else. By promptly informing the issuing authority, they can take the necessary steps to deactivate the lost or stolen permit and prevent unauthorized use. Remember that reporting the loss or theft of your CCW permit helps ensure the continued safety and integrity of the permit system.

Option A is incorrect as reporting to the police within 10 days may not be sufficient, and it is essential to notify the issuing authority specifically.

Option B is incorrect because applying for a new permit immediately without informing the issuing authority about the loss or theft of the original permit can lead to potential complications and misuse of the lost permit.

Option D is incorrect as there is indeed a specific requirement to notify the issuing authority within 48 hours in case your CCW permit is lost or stolen.
